about nancy

"As an artist I love color.  I love that the Creator didn't design a black and white world but gave us an array of glorious colors, shadows and reflections.    I delight in capturing a glimpse of God's amazing creation in glass or watercolor"

Nancy's attraction to the unique and appealing art of fused glass has it's
origins more than 35 years ago in stained glass works.  After years of stained glass production she switched mediums.  In 1999 she studied watercolor and drawing at the Glassell School of Art in Houston, TX.  The education she recieved renewed her love for painting, which had been set aside to raise a family.  Over the years, Nancy's watercolors have  awards and were shown throughout the Houston and Galveston area.

In 2004 Nancy was introduced to fused glass as an art form.  She became excited with the unlimited potential and challenge in working with glass.  Combining her love for painting and creating in glass, Nancy has developed a way of creating "paintings" using only forms of glass and heat.  She continues to take inspiration from the beautiful landscapes that surround her in the Texas Hill Country.  Nancy's work is shown in galleries in Texas and in many private collections throughout the US.

Nancy and he husband of 46 years live in Boerne, Texas with a small herd of pygmy and dwarf goats.  They have three married sons and seven grandchildren.  As she would say, "Life is good."

"color, textures, shadows, and reflections are what call me to create"
